Hello, I’m Rose.
I’ve worked as an artist and illustrator for the last fifteen years, making drawings and picture books for a wide range of publishers and clients. I love what I do, but it can be quite a solitary job- and my favourite thing in the world is meeting new people and hearing their stories.
The idea of becoming a celebrant started quietly fizzing in the back of my mind when two close friends asked me to ‘marry’ them in the summer of 2024. I hadn’t really thought about it before then, but I loved every moment of the day. It felt completely natural- like I was in the right place, doing exactly what I should be doing.
I’ve always felt comfortable speaking in front of people, thanks to rigorous classical singing training as a child, and my part-time work as a university lecturer.
I did some training (with the brilliant ICPC), and now… here I am! A celebrant!
Friends often describe me as authentic, observant, and a good listener, with a generous spirit, natural warmth, a slightly naughty sense of humour and a borderline obsessive attention to detail.
I’m a natural storyteller, and my ceremonies are full of detail, in-jokes, and personality. I’d love to work with you to create a ceremony that feels creative and colourful.
